Happy New Year 🎊💕🥂💕🎊

My 40th year didn’t exactly go as expected ~ I think that that is probably true for all of you about this year…

We probably all realize that a lot we take for granted was ripped away from us~ our every day lives, our normal ~ from a classroom to an office, traveling to/or with family and friends, treasured activities, hobbies and sports outside our homes, birthday parties, performances, holidays and celebrations- to the simple joy of hugging a dear friend.

Even just gathering, being together, standing next to each other, eating together, sharing, caring, spending time together was suddenly taboo.

Our hearts go out to the ones this year impacted a lot more than that.

To the ones who lost incomes, houses, businesses ….

Or to the ones that experienced the ultimate, gut wrenching, most tragic loss of a loved one…

What an unimaginable pain none of us want to go through, especially unexpectedly ~ everything else can be “fixed” and so that less people had to go through that we all tried our best…

For us this year has had a silver lining (a lining so thick the whole thing might have been silver…or even gold).

Yes we missed our family and friends like crazy, but we hope and pray to see you very soon~ everything else was a challenge we took on!

We are beyond proud of our kids- who managed to change their normal over night, adapt and even thrive.
Our oldest had a big surgery in the middle of a pandemic and he had setbacks but ended up on top! Our daughter embraced her new normal right away with open arms. Our little boys loved just being home with all of us and the quality time we’ve had together has truly been priceless.

What a rare treat to have daddy around all the time and for this mama to kick her “health and fit journey” into new gear! (No sweets at all this year and 6 day/week workouts!) I have truly never felt better!

We’ve had to slow down, to truly spend time together and really get to know each other even better as a family.

Has it been all fun and games? No of course not (from electronic glitches, to all day screen time, to steep learning curves, to sibling fights, to all day whining, to toddler tantrums to the bigger health hurdles – it has not been easy) but we realized this year more than ever how lucky we are~ how blessed~ how to see the bigger picture.

This is a year in history ~ in our history, that we will never ever forget.

I can’t wait to hug my mom in the new year~ and my dad, and my sister and my brother and their families (my nephew and my nieces including my brand new one) and all my wonderful in-laws ~ just spend time with all of them!
I hope that we are all very close to hugging all the ones that we love and care about!

With this rambling message all I really wanted to say is HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Wish you all LOVE, HEALTH and HAPPINESS ♥️

What a beautiful tribute to 2020! So love that you are writing on this post….so nice for future, as well! It will serve you well when you get to my age and have trouble remembering each phase of life. While it is time consuming, you won’t regret the time spent; certainly wish I would have written in journals or even diaries……

Happy New Year!! May 2021 be filled with untold blessings…….
